Flow screed, or liquid floor screed, provides a smooth, level surface ready for the application of floor finishes. It’s a great choice for both domestic and commercial projects. It’s particularly suited for use with underfloor heating or unusually shaped rooms.

In most applications, using flowing screed makes significant cost and time savings over traditional sand and cement screed. It’s quick to lay, quick to dry and prolongs the lifetime of the floor as there’s no cracking. On average, our team can lay 800m2 in a single day.

Whilst the speed of laying and drying, and the associated cost savings, are usually the main selling points, once you’ve discovered flow screed, there’s very little to recommend returning to sand and cement screed.

  • There’s minimal thermal expansion (0.012mm/mK)
  • It’s non-combustible (tested to BS476 Part 4)
  • Flow screed can be laid more thinly, reducing the overall weight
  • It has twice the thermal conductivity of traditional screed (2.2W/mK) – perfect for underfloor heating
  • It’s protein free so it can’t harbour harmful bacteria – great for hospitals, surgeries and food preparation areas
  • It can be used bonded, un-bonded or floating
  • …And it uses up to a third of recycled materials, so you’re doing your bit for the environment too!
